FAQ
What is Brow Sculpting?
Brow Sculpting is an art. The brow shape is mapped out and customized to your face. Wax is used to remove unwanted hair-followed by tweezing and trimming to refine the shape. The brow is finished with brow powder to define and correct shape if needed, gel to groom and highlighter/concealer to mask redness, protect skin and showcase the final brow shape. A sculpt usually takes 15-20 minutes. Perfect brows are created for each individual face by a Brow Specialist or Esthetician.
A brow wax is hair removal only. A service provided by many hair and nail salons. A wax typically takes about 5 minutes.
Waxing
All hair needs to be at least 1/4" in length to be waxed. For most people, this means 2 weeks of growth. For best results, let hair grow 3-4 weeks before initial waxing to remove all stages of hair growth. Then, wax every 4 weeks for optimal results.
Please regularly exfoliate and moisturize
No tanning 24-48 hours before or after waxing
A pain reliever/anti-inflammatory can be taken 30 minutes prior to waxing to help with discomfort
Make sure you are hydrated and keep alcohol and caffeine to a minimum
Gloves are always worn and there is no double dipping!
You can wax during your period and while pregnant. If during your period, please wear a tampon or cup. Just be aware that you could be more sensitive. If you are pregnant, I will only provide bikini or brazilian waxing services if you are a current client that has had the service prior to being pregnant.
Waxing does not make hair grow in thicker and darker. Since hair is removed by the root, over time there is less hair and it becomes finer and lighter.
Avoid swimming, hot tubs, sex, perfumes/scented products, friction, sweat on freshly waxed areas 24-48 hours after being waxed (especially underarm and bikini area)
Organic Airbrush Tans
The tan is airbrushed on you by a certified tech, not a machine
Wear or bring loose dark clothing for after your appointment. You may wear underwear, swimsuit or nothing at all while being sprayed. It is completely up to your comfort level.
Make sure all waxing, nails, skin treatments, etc are done BEFORE your spray tan
The spray tan takes about 5 minutes to apply and there is no drying time
You cannot get wet for 8 hours after the spray tan in order for it to fully develop. (If it's raining, please cover up and bring an umbrella) Do not do less time or more time as this will effect the way the tan looks.
After the 8 hours, rinse off in the shower (soap is ok, no scrubbing), and moisturize
Moisturize twice a day to keep tan looking its best (avoid moisturizers with hydroxy acids, retinols, and acne treatments)
Tan lasts for up to 2 weeks with proper care (chlorine, salt water, sun exposure, scrubbing, not moisturizing) will shorten this time)
